Day II: London.
We land in London, brushed our teeth and washed our faces and head for the Underground, where I instructed everyone on changing their dollars to pounds and buying a day pass. It amazed me that I had not forgot how to travel the Tube (underground). They all wanted to go to Buckingham Palace. Ist stop. And then we walked through St James Park around the corner from where I use to Stay in London, but never walked through the park, was never a tourist in London before, always working. It was a beautiful Sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, Everyone out in the Park walking Tanning, The English Gardens so beautiful, amazed at the ancient trees, it was a good way to get grounded and focus for the rest of our journey, the group then wanted to go to Picadilly Circus and we found a wonderful little restaurant where we had a delicious lunch and suffered humourous teasing from the owners of the restaurant about the U.S. We got back to the Airport and boarded South African Airlines, and headed for Johanesburg.
